First of all what is Vexel? According to wikipedia.com Vexel is neologism for an entirely pixel-based form of raster art that imitates the visual appearance of vector graphics technique (i.e. sharp-edged lines and areas of flat colour or smooth gradient fills). The word itself is a portmanteau derived from a combination of "vector" and "pixel.
This is my first finished vexel art. Actually this is my third vexel, but the other two(2) is unfinished. Why did I use this baby pic as my vexel art for my ITMM102 midterm requirement? Because the skin of the baby is smooth unlike the first two. I also like babies because I just like them, they are so cute and one day, I will have my own. I did this art with in one day, last Sunday (August 28, 2011) is the deadline then I only did this by Friday (August 26, 2011) and finish it by Saturday (August 27, 2011). Although I almost didn't slept just to finish this, It was a great experience to have this vexel art.I did this in Adobe Illustrator CS5. Using Pentool and Text tool for the text that you can see at the left.
